Fishing and boating are year round activities at Big Canoe with three mountain lakes with Lake Petit being the largest.   Get out and enjoy a sunset cruise!

Lake Petit – This lake of 111 acres hosts most of the fishing and boating activities.  There are no motor boats or gas combustion boats of any kind allowed on our lakes but you can certainly enjoy your canoe or kayak .  No swimming allowed.

Lake Disharoon – Adjacent to the Fitness Center, Disharoon is home to the swim club and rockslide.   There is a beach and a small area roped off for swimming.   There is also beach volleyball, canoes and paddleboats.

Lake Sconti – The lake is surrounded by the golf course and is a beautiful setting as seen from the Clubhouse.  No swimming allowed.

Lake Petit is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout with a daily limit of four per person.   Catch and release is NOT allowed.  Catch them, keep them, cook them, eat them!  Bass, Crappie and Bream are also caught in Lake Petit.

Fishing permits are required and available for purchase at the Marina.

Rentals – Electric powered pontoon boat and jon boat rentals are available by the hour at the Lake Petit Marina.  Only electric engines are permitted on Big Canoe lakes to avoid fuel and noise pollution.  Fishing pole rentals are also available along with bait, snacks and beverages.

Private Boats – Kayaks, canoes, and rowboats can be launched from the main Marina or the north Marina on Quail Cove Drive.
